Refund Policy

The policy

A subscription's first payment (monthly or yearly) is refundable only if you have generated no more than one report and it is within three days of that payment. After that, and for renewal payments, subscriptions are non-refundable. You can cancel or downgrade anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. Report credits are refundable within three days only if none of the credits in that pack have been used.

Why it works this way

ShopGrade is a metered product, each report generation has a real cost (AI analysis, field-data lookups, report hosting). A time-plus-usage window lets you genuinely try a paid plan while preventing the "generate a month of reports, then refund" pattern that would make fair pricing impossible for everyone else.

Subscriptions: what qualifies for a refund

  • The request concerns your first payment on a plan (not a renewal), on either the monthly or yearly billing option.
  • It has been three days or fewer since that payment.
  • You have generated one report or none since paying.

All three must be true. Renewal payments are non-refundable. If you no longer need ShopGrade, cancel or downgrade before your renewal date; the change takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep access until then and won't be charged again.

Report credits

Pay-as-you-go report credits ($19 for 2 report generations) are a one-time purchase. A credit pack is refundable within three days of purchase only if none of its credits have been used. Once you have generated a report using a credit, that pack is non-refundable. Credits never expire, so there is no need to rush to use them.

How to request one

Email support@shopgrade.in from your account email with the subject "Refund request". We'll confirm eligibility and process the refund through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, back to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Please note: when a refund is processed, paid-tier access is revoked immediately, not at the end of the billing period.

Cancelling or downgrading instead

Cancellation and downgrades are separate from refunds, and always available from your account page. Cancel or switch to a cheaper plan anytime; the change takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep full access until then and won't be overbilled. A cancellation drops your account to the Free tier at the period's end; your local leads and audit history stay on your device, and any unused report credits remain on your account.

Billing problems

If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, charged after cancelling), contact us and we'll make it right. Those situations are handled outside the standard policy above.
